The Global Worship Initiative is a visionary plan that will bring immense value to the local church.

With GWI, we will disciple worshipers to inspire transformative creative worship. We believe that developing worship leaders–not just worship music–is of the utmost importance. In this way, GWI is more than just a program or a department; it's a promise. A promise to direct our time, energy, and resources to empowering and equipping the worshipers that faithfully serve on the frontlines of our churches every week.

To your worship pastors, musicians, singers and songwriters we are excited to offer much needed support in the form of; discipleship to ensure a healthy spiritual life, theological education to promote doctrinally-sound song choices, administrative training to enhance ministry operations in your churches, and leadership coaching to foster healthy cultures in our communities

We will accomplish all of this with GWI’s Worship Arts Certification, an innovative program that will serve as the gold-standard for our denomination. This certification will signify our collective commitment to honoring our rich legacy of worship and securing a brighter future for the next generation.

The need for this certification is self-evident. We hold our ministers to high standards in order to preserve the integrity of our denomination and represent biblical truth. We put them through demanding education, training, internships and credentialing that will prepare them for exemplary ministry. Beginning in 2025, the Certification will provide opportunities for our worship leaders the tools and training they need and long for.

Beyond tools and training, GWI will also serve as a gathering place for our worshipers–both in-person and online. This community will not only connect them with each other, but with a broader network of GWI-approved counselors, instructors, technology experts, and more.

We are also proud to announce that our renewed vision encompasses the expansion of Spirit Sound Music Group. With a legacy spanning decades, including the production of one of the most popular hymnals ever published and a catalog of over 16,000 published songs, Spirit Sound has undeniably enriched the Church of God.

GWI is a catalyst for innovation, providing unparalleled opportunities for growth and creativity within our worship and arts communities. What I've mentioned today is only the beginning. And let's be clear: GWI is not merely about developing products or programs; it's about developing people. This initiative will transform hearts, inspire our global church, and ultimately glorify God. Now is the time to unite our churches in worshiping together in spirit and in truth.
